Reporting damages to properties in Augusta.
The Augusta Fire/EMA Department, in collaboration with the Augusta-Richmond County Tax Assessor’s Office, is actively conducting city-wide damage assessments following Hurricane Helene. Teams from both departments will be visiting various areas to assess property damage. It is important to note that these assessments are not tied to any financial assistance programs but are a necessary step required by both GEMA and FEMA to document the extent of damage. SMALL BUSINESS LOW-INTEREST DISASTER LOAN PROGRAM
The U.S. Small Business Administration has opened a business recovery center at the CSRA Regional Commission to assist businesses and residents who were affected by Hurricane Helene, giving more businesses and residents eligibility to apply for SBA’s low-interest disaster loan program.
