Welcome to the Joseph Ibarra Traina Foundation. Here we all feel part of it and absorb as much inspiration to continue Joseph's legacy of service, compassion and passion for justice, democratic society and freedom.

Joseph (Joey) Paul Ibarra Traina was born to his physical therapist mother and journalist father in Asuncion, Paraguay on September 25, 1987, at the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital where upon hearing of the birth of the American baby boy a nurse asked if he could be carried to visit an elder woman recovering from the amputation of her legs in a nearby ward.

Joey made her smile, and he continued to make others smile from his very beginnings.
