The Augusta Fire Department, in partnership with Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency, US National Guard, (FEMA) Federal Emergency Management Agency & Mayor Garnett Johnson hosted a Point Of Distribution (POD) at Southgate Plaza on Gordon Hwy for several days.

Additionally, a distribution event was held at The Depot and Diamond Lakes. People received 4 bags of ice, tarps, water, and meals ready to eat.

If other locations for distribution of food and goods are available in the area, we are asking to organizers to let us know to publicizes here.

The Augusta Rescue Mission is offering free laundry services.

Appalachian Region (Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia) Appalachian Voices has compiled a list of resources and ways to give to verified organizations accepting online donations for relief.

Florida The Miami Foundation is accepting donations for the Florida Grassroots Hurricane Community Recovery Fund

Georgia Mutual Aid Disaster Relief is a grassroots disaster relief network based on principles of solidarity, mutual aid, and autonomous direct action.

South Carolina The United Way Association of South Carolina Disaster Fund is underwriting all administrative costs and dispersing 100% of the funds it receives. You will be able to choose the county you’d like to help, if interested.
